Ninja 250R Power almost same with Ninja 150 (hehe best )

Post by aiekempo on Wed Jul 07, 2010 4:09 pm

Guys.. every rider know that Kawasaki Ninja 250R is the new motorsport icon from kawasaki, ninja 250R isn't new brand, before Kawasaki Ninja 250R launch there is Kawasaki 250 the first came to public. Now, there is question in another country that still sell Ninja 150 ZXR or KRR and Ninja 250R, who is better? price for this two product is very very different, kawasaki ninja 250 price is more expensive, almost 2x ninja 150 price. Kawasaki 250R power have 31,4 ps, and Ninja 150 zxr/krr power is 30,1 ps, you can see that the power between two motorcycle is almost same !!!

    picture : majalahbikeart.com
Kawasaki ninja 250r have features like DOCH engine technology, 2 cylinder, 6 speed, return shift, and wight 169kg, this is the great specification, but ninja 150 with SKIP technology can give your kawasaki speed like ninja 250R, Ninja 150 is more light than kawasaki ninja 250R, yeah weight for Ninja 150 is 124,5kg. This is the big big question, who is better for power and value?

If you looking at Ninja 250R specification and Ninja 150 specification, there is very different, Ninja 250R with DOCH and Ninja 150RR with SKIP. DOCH can give you more power, and SKIP on Ninja 150RR is the same thing like "DOCH" on Ninja 250R. On the standard motorcycles, Ninja 150RR top speed is the winner from kawasaki ninja 250R top speed, but if you can modification Ninja 250R, the power and top speed for this bike is not lose from Ninja 150RR !!

yes bro, its pretty common, then again, what he sees is only a measurement from brochure. Most importantly, PSI/BHP is not everything.

250R is a 4 stroke DOCH engine, which means, the power is balanced throughout the entire RPM range, Unlike us kips, max power achieved only above 7k rpm. In a straight stretch of road, this may be compensated with proper clutching and gearing technique, but there is a huge flaw in sudden torque especially in cornering and maintaining speed and high speed corners.

Other factors like engine ignition mechanism (elec/kick), 2T consumption and body built, many factors that separates the price margins. 250R is a great bike, so is zx150, both is best in its own world.

Ho ho ho, I guess you guys havent seen tricked out Ninja 250Rs yet.... the ones I have seen on the Infineon Speedway in US through the net proves that the 250R is a freaking good bike... how does 46rwhp (that is nearly 100% of the stock rwhp) and 120kgs wet weight with half a tank of fuel sounds? The fastest kips struggle to make 40rwhp and yes, im talking about Pak Din's bike. The most important thing here is money..... everybody knows that modding the daylights out of a 4 stroker requires plenty of cash................

But i find it amazing how these guys can double their rwhp but still retain their stock bore x stroke and without any forced induction....

well... of course... i don't know much on bike engines, but there was a regular in sunway GT auto, drove a satria mivec, 192hp on wheel. He burned about 40k.... but problem is, the car is barely driveable on as a normal means of commuting... fuel consumption, sparkplug barely last 500km, rough idling and so and so...

Those 250s being a daily rider is totally out of the question, idling is at 3k rpms, max hp is at around 16-17k rpms, engines need to be striped down after every race, etc.... but it is still amazing. Imagine an R1 that can double it's power without force induction or increasing it's cubic capacity. If you know about engines, you would know that doing this is everything but normal....

well, for cars its pretty much a norm as the engine bay has lots of space and many other factors, yes indeed its amazing. However, factory stock vehicle always has restrictions, noise level, pollution standards, and reliability/performance and life span factors. Thus, the actual engine true performance is restricted alot. Bro hayabusa, if possible to meet up from TTS, lets go for one. Would love to learn more bout bike performance from you haha.

Hehe, so just guess how the hell they squeeze in 170rwhp into a litre.... there is no replacement for displacement right? But is there is, and it's called turbo... name me a car or whatever that is naturally aspirated that can do that? Non? Cars are for wusses, where they are trap inside those square ass cans, not feeling shite, in those idiot boxes(not tvs), and they can never knee the fish down... Now, we are in the 150 2 stroker forum, and I aint goin to go out of these playgrounds.... guess how fast can you go? Well, lets meet for a tts and we will sit there talking about shite we have not even explored... shall we? Shall we, morning glory?

anytime, anywhere... err.. technically... puchong/sunway/subang/putrajaya areas only LOL. well... lets put forced induction out of the picture... the satria mivec i mentioned earlier on (192hp), is not a bolt-on, its still NA. MSD ignitions, motec ecu, forged pistons/bores, race bearings, and MANY MANY MANY more mods that equals to $$$$.

Of course, definately no replacement for displacement, however, theres no turbo that can produce a feeling of driving a 250hp NA car, torque from the moment you touch the pedal !! in malaysia, not many turbo are done properly, most youngster these days prefer late rpm torques, most common practise, is TD05 turbos on GSR, for some reason i do not comprehend, the love the turbo lag lol.
